From the inventive portraits made of fruit and veggies from 17^th century Italy to the sculptures of 20^th century artist Claus Oldenburg. Food in art will inspire us to make our own eye-catching concoctions in a variety of media.

ADULTS

A look at the deceptively simple still-life paintings of Georgio Morandi and Henri Matisse. Using acrylic on canvas we will begin by focusing on Morandi and his pared down still-life paintings. We will then turn our attention to Matisse and his incredible use of color and simple forms. This class is for beginners as well as more experienced students.
